EU honours Promises to Serbian Leadership in Record Time

Less than two weeks after the Biarritz Summit, the European Union is living up to its promises to the new Serbian leadership. With winter coming on the European Parliament last week formally endorsed the Commission's proposal to allocate EUR 200 million emergency aid to Serbia before the end of the year. Energy, food, health and education services will all benefit. 
"This decision has been made in record time thanks to excellent co-operation between the European institutions. Europe is now ready to help in very concrete ways with support," declared Michaele Schreyer, European Commissioner for the Budget
